Manipulation is a treatment which uses examination techniques to identify problems and restrictions with in the skeletal system which can result in a limited range of movement and pain.

Treatments can begin by using techniques like soft tissue mobilisation (massage) to relax muscles around the effected joint, following this the bones themselves can be mobilised, aiming to restore normal function and range of movement. Muscle Energy Techniques, can also be used to facilitate this. Finally a High Velocity Thrust may be needed to complete the treatment.
